What to Wear for a Family Photo Shoot

We've booked a session together and we are both so excited for the date. I've got my gear and ideas ready, but you are a little unsure what to wear for your family photo shoot. Have no fear, outfit ideas are here!

First off, solid colors will never go wrong. Neutral colors are always flattering (bright, neon can be fun, but sometimes reflective on skin). Soft tans, pink, grays, blues, creams, browns all photograph well while keeping skin tone natural.

Throw in one or two prints to break up the scheme. Try to think coordinating, not matching.

If you are unsure about what colors you are drawn to, take a look around your house at the colors used to decorate. There tends to be a color scheme whether you realize it or not. The bonus to coordinating with your interior design is that your photos printed and hung will be complementary!

Last but not least, be yourself. If you feel uncomfortable or out of place in the clothes you are wearing, it will show and you won't be able to let loose for our shoot. A fun tip I've always loved is to dress up like it's a first date or a holiday dinner. Something to dress to impress but you still feel like you!
